Here are the top stories today in Shirley-Mastic:
- PSEG is improving its distribution circuit in the Mastic Beach and Shirley areas with the "Power On" program. The action started in mid-September and aims to improve the energy grid's reliability. Check out the list of streets that will have work done in the next four months. (Patch)
- A voting session to approve changes to the town of Brookhaven district map happened on Thursday. The map was approved and will be in effect for the next decade. Some residents expressed their concerns in a public hearing saying the new council violates federal voting rights. (News 12 Connecticut)
- Nearby Events: Patchogue Burgerology is taking over Railroad Avenue to host its 2022 Beer Fest. The event is set for Oct. 23 from 2 to 6 p.m., rain or shine. DJ Danja will play the music. Click here for tickets. (Greater Long Island)
