Caitlyn's Vision was started by Mastic resident Caitlyn Michiels who was diagnosed with the rare inflammatory condition, bilateral uveitis, when she was eight. The disease was staved off in time, but the 12-year-old decided to turn her misfortune around and give back to others by raising funds and awareness for those suffering from vision disorders, as well as those in need.
Attendees are asked to bring two unwrapped toys, for one boy and one girl, along with two canned food items. All donations will be donated to Angels of Long Island after the event on behalf of Caitlyn's Vision and Giorgio's of Baiting Hollow.
