Search On For 2 Scrooges Who Stole Christmas Tree: Police
A store employee was able to retrieve one of the trees before the women sped off with another, police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — Police are on the lookout for two scrooges who stole a Christmas tree right before the holidays, authorities said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public's help to find the two women who swiped a Christmas tree from Michael's, located at 1019 Montauk Hwy. in Shirley, on Dec. 11 at 10:20 a.m. An employee was able to reclaim one of the trees before the duo fled the parking lot in a tan 2001 Malibu with New York license plate "JAB 2763," police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and a message to "CRIMES" (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential.
