Search On For Sneaker Thief: Cops

SHIRLEY, NY — The search is on for a woman who stole a pair of Adidas sneakers recently, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole the sneakers from Famous Footwear, located at 999 Montauk Highway in Shirley, on February 21 at 3 p.m.; the woman fled in a green Toyota four-door pickup, police said.

The merchandise was valued at $70, police said.
