Suffolk Police Investigate Shots Fired At Mastic Home
In two incidents Wednesday, someone shot at a home in the morning, then later that night a woman was robbed at gunpoint, cops say.
MASTIC, NY — Gun shots were fired at a home in Mastic early Wednesday morning, in one of two incidents involving guns in the neighborhood in less than 24 hours, Suffolk police said.
Someone fired a gun at a home on Mastic Road at about 3:30 a.m. before leaving the scene, a police spokeswoman said. A resident was inside the home sleeping at the time, but was not injured, she said.
The shooter left behind gun shells which were later recovered by police, according to police.

Police have classified the crime reckless endangerment.
At about 11:30 p.m., a woman was robbed at gunpoint also on Mastic Road, police said. She had been lured to a location then two males, one of them toting a gun, directed to go to another location where she was robbed of her cell phone, according to police.

She was not injured during the robbery.
No arrests have been made in connection with either the shooting or the robbery.
