Teen On Bicycle Struck, Injured By Pickup Truck In Shirley: Police
The teen, a resident of Shirley, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — A 15-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck and hurt by a pickup truck in Shirley on Monday night, Suffolk police said.
The truck was traveling northbound on Alder Lane, at the intersection of Arrowhead Lane at around 5:30 p.m., when he rode in front of a westbound 2017 Dodge pickup driven by a 23-year-old Shirley man, according to police.
The teen, a resident of Shirley, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
