Thieves Flee After Woman Hits Panic Button In Shirley Stop & Shop Parking Lot

It happened Monday night, police say.

A woman was attacked by two thieves in the Shirley Stop & Shop parking lot Monday night, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, the victim was approached by two women who pushed her and tried to go into her pockets in the parking lot at 999 Montauk Highway around 7:30 p.m.

The victim hit the panic button on her car's keypad and the women fled empty-handed, police said.

No arrests have been made. Police did not release a description of the suspects.
