Thieves Stole From Store — And Brought Little Boy Along: Cops

SHIRLEY, NY — A man and woman stole sneakers from a Shirley store —and had a little boy with them when they did it, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the pair who stole three pairs of sneakers from Famous Footwear, located at 1017 Montauk Highway, on July 28 at 11:55 a.m., police said.

The little boy was approximately eight years old, police said.

They fled in a brown Ford minivan with a partial plate reading of "CAM," police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
