William Floyd Elementary School Hosts Winter-Themed Fundraisers

Students raised money and collected warm clothing for families in need.

The William Floyd Elementary School Student Council held two winter-themed fundraisers over the month of December including a “Do you want to buy a snowman?” effort that raised $300 to benefit school families in need, as well as the annual “Giving Tree” drive in which students and staff donated new hats, gloves, socks and scarves for any student or family member who needs them.

The Student Council, led by teachers Donna Haakonson and Carol Chisari, along with the student council and the generous William Floyd Elementary School community, always go above and beyond to help others.
