William Floyd Elementary Student Council Hosts Food Drive

The William Floyd Elementary School Student Council recently held its annual “Souper Bowl of Caring” food drive to collect non-perishable food items for those in need from their school community. Thanks to the generosity of students and their families, the drive resulted in more than 830 food items!

The Souper Bowl of Caring food drive in partnership with TackleHunger.org, inspires people across the nation to tackle hunger in their local communities. The Souper Bowl of Caring empowers youth and unites communities to tackle hunger using the energy of the Super Bowl held each year in February. The organization’s vision is to transform this effort into a nationwide movement inspiring people to give locally and make a collective impact on hunger.
