William Floyd HS 3rd Annual “Taste of the Town” a Success
Proceeds from the event will go toward the WFHS CTE program and to help fill the food pantry for those in need.

From The William Floyd HS: The William Floyd High School Hospitality Academy recently hosted approximately 500 community members for the third annual “Taste of the Town,” an event which has become a community favorite featuring nearly 50 local and area food establishments presenting their best dishes for the community to sample. Proceeds from the event will go toward the William Floyd High School Career and Technology Education (CTE) program and to help fill the food pantry for those in need.
“It was a wonderful evening which featured our culinary arts students getting the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals,” said Karen Poidomani, CTE Chairperson and organizer of the event. “I would also like to thank the vendors who were very generous with their offerings because without them this event would not be possible.”
William Floyd High School Culinary Arts students under the direction of their teacher, Chef Richard Daly and teaching assistant Wendy Waldron, also prepared dishes and helped serve food. Other CTE programs were also in attendance to show the community their offerings.
