The Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library in collaboration with the Suffolk County Police Department is hosting "National Night Out" on Tuesday, August 3, from 5 pm to 8 pm, on the grounds of William Floyd High School behind Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School.

National Night Out is a nationwide initiative to fight crime by hosting community-driven, family friendly events. The goal is for citizens to participate in safe group activities to show they are in control of their neighborhoods. The last time this event was held, more than 650 people attended with 37 community agencies participating. There are free, fun activities for every member of the family!
