UPDATE: Suffolk Police ID Woman Killed On William Floyd Parkway
She had been driving a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage when it left the roadway and struck a truck on the shoulder of the road on Friday, cops say.
UPDATE: Suffolk police have identified Sandra Steinberg, 33, of Moriches, as the woman killed in the motor vehicle crash on southbound William Floyd Parkway, near Dawn Drive, in Shirley on Friday.
Steinberg was one of three people killed on Suffolk roadways over about an 11-hour period on Friday. A pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was struck on William Floyd Parkway near Roberts Road, as well as a man walking on Middle Country Road in Selden. Both were killed within about 15 minutes of each other.
SHIRLEY, NY — A woman was killed when her car veered off of William Floyd Parkway and struck a truck on Friday morning, Suffolk police said.

Police said a woman was driving a 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage southbound on William Floyd Parkway, near Dawn Drive, when it “left the roadway” and struck an unoccupied 2004 Dodge Ram that was parked on the shoulder of the road just after 8 a.m.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her identity is being withheld pending the notification of her next of kin, police said.

The Mitsubishi was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the 7th Squad at 631-852-8752.
