Woman Shot In Shirley: Suffolk Police
The woman was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of her injuries, police said.
SHIRLEY, NY — A woman was brought to Stony Brook University Hospital after she was shot in Shirley on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
She had been inside her car trying to return to a Pinewood Drive location "to get her belongings" at about 10 p.m. when she was shot in the "upper right side of her chest," according to police. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
No further information was available from police.
