Woman Struck, Injured By Car On William Floyd Parkway: Police

She was transported to an area hospital for treatment of "non-life-threatening injuries," Suffolk police said.

SHIRLEY, NY — A woman was struck and injured by a car on William Floyd Parkway on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

The woman ran across southbound William Floyd Parkway, near Moriches Middle-Island Road, in Shirley and was struck by a 2013 Honda Civic at the intersection at about 3:43 p.m., police said. She was transported to an area hospital for treatment of “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to police
