Woman Struck And Injured By Land Rover On Montauk Highway

She had been crossing against the light and was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue, Suffolk police said.

SHIRLEY, NY — A woman was struck by a Land Rover while crossing Montauk Highway in Shirley late Monday night, Suffolk police said.

A 56-year-old woman was crossing the roadway against the traffic light at the intersection of Montauk Highway and Aletta Place when she was struck by a 2005 Land Rover just before 10 p.m., police said.

The woman was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
