$25K Of Goods Stolen From Smithtown Liquor Store: Police

The men used a Sawzall to cut the store's lock and then nabbed the merchandise, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Two men stole $25,000 worth of merchandise from a Smithtown liquor store in October, police said, and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding them.

The men went to The Wine Guy Liquor Store, at 220 West Main Street, around 11:15 p.m. Oct. 5, police said. The duo used a Sawzall to cut the store's lock, police said. They stole the items and drove away in a SilverGMC Acadia Denali, police said. They are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
