"It was an amazing afternoon to help kids with cancer as the Smithtown community came together to help one of our own, Chase Turano,” McKillop said via news release. "Chase passed away this past summer after a long battle with brain cancer. His parents and sister were in attendance and were most grateful for the support of the Great Hollow Middle School students, faculty and staff. The money raised will go to The Sunrise Association, which helps kids like Chase, and their siblings attend camp in the summer."
