5 Caught Selling E-Nicotine, Alcohol To Minors: Police

The five were arrested during an undercover investigation on Friday.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - Five people were arrested for selling e-liquid nicotine or alcohol to minors in Suffolk County during an undercover investigation on Friday, according to Suffolk Police.

In response to recent complaints throughout the Fourth Precinct, officers conducted investigations into the sale of e-liquid nicotine and alcohol to minors at 17 businesses, using underage agents

According to police, the following individuals were arrested and issued field appearance tickets:

  • Shah Asif, 44, of Bay Shore, an employee at Shell Gas Station on 642 Motor Parkway in Brentwood was charged with second degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • James Flone, 54, of Smithtown, an employee at The Smoke Shop on 403 Smitthown Boulevard in Nesconset was charged with second and first degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • Mohammes Khan, 58, of Flushing, an employee at Aroma Smoke Shop on 6 East Main Street in Smithtown was charged with two counts second degree unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • Wenwen Liu, 33, of East Meadow, an employee at New Smithtown wine and Liquor on 67 Route 111 in Smithtown was charged with two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child.
  • Giovanni Galeano, 26, of Central Islip, an employee at Krypton Smoke Shop on 260 Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset was charged with two counts of second degree unlawfully dealing a child.

All five are scheduled for arraignment on June 18.
