SMITHTOWN, NY — Love Island to Long Island – Love Island USA Season 8 contestant Caleb McDaniel is heading to Long Island this week for what organizers say will be his first official appearance since leaving the villa.
McDaniel will be featured at a ticketed event at Bull Smith's Tavern in Smithtown on July 17.
The 21-year-old North Carolina native quickly became a fan favorite during the season and has amassed more than 1 million followers on both Instagram and TikTok. He was the first male Islander from Season 8 to surpass the million-follower mark on social media.
Bull Smith's Tavern owner Max Feinberg said the venue has hosted nearly a dozen Love Island cast members over the past year, including Season 7 Islanders Austin Shepard, Nicolas Vansteenberghe, TJ Palma, Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez, and Bryan Arenales.
Feinberg said McDaniel's team told him the appearance is expected to be McDaniel's first official event since the show.
After opening the Smithtown tavern two years ago, Feinberg said demand from customers helped inspire the venue's growing lineup of Love Island-themed events.
"Our customers love Love Island, and we love them, so it's a fun thing to put them in a room with their favorite Islanders," Feinberg said.
Fans can purchase meet-and-greet tickets for a photo opportunity with McDaniel, while general admission tickets will also be available.
The event will begin at 9 p.m. at 155 W. Main Street in Smithtown. Attendees must be 21 years or older.
