LAKE GROVE, NY — Two Powerball tickets worth $100,000 each were sold on Long Island for Monday night's drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
The third-prize Power Play tickets were purchased at:
Wegmans, located at 3270 Middle Country Road in Lake Grove
Jacks Spot Deli & Lotto, located at 534 William Floyd Parkway in Shirley
A third $100,000 ticket was sold at A L T Fuel & Food Inc., located at 5846 South Salina St. in Syracuse, lottery officials said.
The winning numbers for the Aug. 3 drawing were 8, 30, 41, 48 and 54. The Powerball was 4, and the Power Play multiplier was 2X.
Powerball players select five numbers from 1 through 69 and one Powerball number from 1 through 26. The optional Power Play feature can multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes.
Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m.
The New York Lottery contributed $3.8 billion to public schools across the state during the 2023-24 fiscal year.
