Empire State Karate receives Community Service Award from the Smithtown Children's Foundation

Empire State Karate, a Martial Arts institution serving Smithtown and the surrounding communities for nearly 50 years, held its first annual Kick Back party on January 21st to raise awareness and funding for the Smithtown Children's Foundation.

Despite the snow (the only snowfall so far this winter!) the event was well attended and everyone had a fantastic time. We would like to thank all the local merchants who generously donated to this worthy cause.

In this photo are Christine Fitzgerald, co-founder of the Smithtown Children's Foundation presenting a community service plaque to Hanshi Joyce Santamaria, owner of Empire State Karate.
