Athletic Facility Improvements Being Made At Smithtown High Schools
Boosts are being made to baseball and softball diamonds, as well as tracks.
SMITHTOWN, NY — The athletic facilities of both Smithtown high schools are being bolstered, the school district announced.
At Smithtown High School East, crews are working on the turf and track as well as the baseball,
softball and main fields.
Smithtown High School West track renovation has also begun as well as phase two of the field work.

Because of temperature constraints last winter, the phase needed to wait until summer. There is also roof rehabilitation being done along with school window replacements and fire alarm system upgrades.
All work is expected to be completed by the beginning of the 2023-24 school year and was approved in the 2021 passing of the capital project bond referendum.
