- A Free baseball/softball clinic is on the horizon at the Flynn Memorial Park! The Field of Heroes event will be hosted on Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with free lunch in honor of the community heroes. The clinic was created by New York State Senator Mario R. Mattera and Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim. The park is at 29 Old Commack Road in Commack. (TBR News Media)
- Save the date for the third annual Commack Day on Sept. 24! It will be a day to celebrate the community and to raise funds for the Eric Spinato Foundation for student scholarships. - Police are searching for two suspects responsible for a series of robberies in parking lots in Commack, Nesconset, and other locations throughout Suffolk County. The men targeted women coming out of the stores they approached to ask for directions to distract the victims, while another male would steal wallets and purses. (TBR News Media)
