ST. JAMES, NY — Meghan Dyckova, the librarian at Mills Pond Elementary School, is creating a "tree" made entirely of books, the Smithtown School District announced. She aimed to make her library very festive.

"When I went to my own public library recently they had one there which inspired me and I knew I had to attempt it!" Dyckova told Patch through a school district spokesperson. "I pulled out the green books to use. Then I had to look at the size of the books. The books needed to be equal in size for each layer. After I added some decorations. It was fun to create and I am hoping to make other fun ones throughout the year!"
