Smithtown, NY—In August, Branch Funeral Home, 190 East Main St., Smithtown, was awarded the 2013 National Funeral Directors Association’s (NFDA) Pursuit of Excellence Award. This is the funeral home’s eighth consecutive award.
NFDA's Pursuit of Excellence award is given annually to funeral homes that are committed to providing outstanding funeral and cremation service to the families and communities they serve and are dedicated to achieving the highest professional and ethical standards.
“Only two percent of funeral homes nationwide can say they are Pursuit of Excellence award winners and we’ve been selected eight years in a row,” said John Vigliante, an owner and funeral director at Branch Funeral Homes. “It is an honor to be recognized for the investment we make each year in money and time training our staff, upgrading our equipment and expanding our services. We would make these enhancements each year regardless of the award, but it is a distinction that separates us from other funeral service providers on Long Island.”
