2026 Community Table Grand Tasting

The Smithtown Children's Foundation will bring together the community and some of Long Island's favorite culinary businesses for the 2026 Community Table Grand Tasting on Tuesday, November 17 at 6 p.m. at Watermill Caterers in Smithtown.

The annual Grand Tasting has become much more than a culinary event. It is an evening when local restaurants, businesses, local officials, philanthropic organizations, and residents come together to support children and families facing crisis in the Smithtown and Hauppauge communities.

Guests will enjoy an expansive tasting experience featuring participating restaurants, caterers, bakeries, and beverage purveyors, open bar, along with live music, blackjack, raffles, and opportunities to support the Foundation throughout the evening.

This year SCF is excited to honor the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board on their 50^th Anniversary with our Inspirational Community Leaders Award. The SIAB is a partnership of the school district staff, students, and local businesses to support business students. The SIAB has received statewide acclaim for the program, providing internships, speaking engagements, state competitions, women’s empowerment, mentorship, and so much more! In addition, we will be honoring a local resident for the Caring Community Award and Unsung Hero.

The Smithtown Children's Foundation provides financial and emotional assistance to local families experiencing illness, loss, and unexpected hardship. Assistance can range from help with medical and household expenses to groceries, clothing, school supplies, and other immediate family needs.

The Foundation was established in 2008 after members of the community came together to help a local kindergartner diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. That initial effort grew into an organization dedicated to helping families throughout the community when they need it most.

Community Table celebrates the same idea that inspired the Foundation from the beginning: neighbors helping neighbors.
