Deer Breaks Into Smithtown Ad Agency Office
Employees went into work Wednesday morning to find the confused deer who smashed through the door of the business.

SMITHTOWN, NY - Employees were caught like a deer in the headlights after a doe broke into a Smithtown office Wednesday morning.
According to Public Safety Deputy Chief Kevin McPadden, the incident was reported at about 8:10 a.m. at SMM Advertising on 811 W. Jericho Turnpike.
A female deer apparently saw its reflection, became confused and smashed through front glass of the business, McPadden said.

At first after seeing that the office was trashed, employees thought it was a burglary.
Suffolk County Police were called as well as the Smithtown Public Safety Rangers and Animal Control Officers.

Officials corralled and through a tarp over exhausted animal, who had an injured hoof, McPadden said.
Once the deer was outside and rested for a bit, she ran away.
