Dogwood Elementary Nurse Debra Zaleski Recognized For Saving Student

Debra Zaleski, a registered nurse at Dogwood Elementary School in Smithtown, was recently commended for her heroism.

Zaleski came to the aid of a young student during school by performing the Heimlich maneuver, saving the student from a serious medical emergency.
