Duo Robbed Man Of Car In Lake Grove: Police
The two men were arrested after police say the duo sprayed a man in the face with an irritant and stole his car while he was charging it.
LAKE GROVE, NY — Two men were arrested on Saturday after Suffolk police said the duo robbed a man of his electric car in Lake Grove.
A man was charging his Chevrolet Bolt in the parking lot of the Smith Haven Mall when he fell asleep and woke up to someone searching his pockets at 2 p.m., police said. Two men demanded money, then sprayed the man in the face with an irritant and forced him out of the car, police said. The men, Justin Frare, 32, of Bay Shore, and Christopher Danielo, 32, of Farmingville, drove away in the man's Chevrolet, police said.
The pair was located one hour later at 7-Eleven, at 2209 Middle Country Road, Centereach, police said. Frare was sitting in the passenger seat of the Chevrolet while Danielo was found inside the store with the man's credit cards, police said.

Frare and Danielo were arrested and each charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree grand larceny, and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Frare and Danielo are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday and will be held overnight by police.
