We are incorporating a Civic Association to protect the hamlet of Nesconset from over development and make sure Nesconset gets its fair share of town resources. If you’re interested in becoming a leader or Trustee Defiantly call me ASAP

The Town Board is not treating Nesconset fairly. All Nesconset gets from Smithtown is poor service, mindless over development, flooding and traffic. The Board is changing and things are about to get worse. We were told, the Town would never approve a Nursing Home. Today a huge Nursing home is being built on Lake Avenue.

We need to organize and develop a Hamlet wide civic association.

If we don’t

• Story Book Meadows (Al Hornberger) will have an excellent chance to build a giant 60 acre Nursing Home - Assisted Living – Senior Living complex. (Between Smithtown Blvd, Gibbs Pond Road & Nichols Road.
• Zoning will change permitting Apartments to be developed on Lake Avenue. Nesconset has more apartments than any village or hamlet in Smithtown
• Flooding resources will be diverted to Smithtown and Kings Park
• Traffic will get worse
• Services will decline
• Every green space in Nesconset will be developed. FYI Smithtown is 18% parkland. Nesconset is 3% parkland.
• Their will be a Seven Eleven at every intersection

The Town Board is revitalizing downtown Kings Park and Smithtown. Local cost is estimated at $5 million and the total estimated cost is $80 million. The Board is considering $3 million sewer project for Lake Avenue in St James. Not a penny to fix Nesconset’s flooding problems or pave a road.
