Fee to Rise Sept. 1 for Suffolk Marathon

County Executive welcomes ultramarathoner Eva Casale to race to raise funds for veterans causes

Sign up now for the inaugural Suffolk County Marathon and Half Marathon before the registration fee increases on Sept.1. Join the thousands of runners who have already signed up to take part in history at the first Suffolk County marathon, including Long Island’s own Eva Casale, who completed a three-day, 150-mile run from Manhattan to Montauk earlier this year to raise money for children who suffer from leukemia and lymphoma.

If you do miss the deadline for the lower registration fee, it will be for a great cause – all proceeds from the marathon and half marathon will go toward enhancing services for Suffolk County veterans. Visitwww.SuffolkMarathon.com to register, volunteer to help out on race day, or learn more about the post-race Taste of Long Island festival that is open to the public and will feature live music, Long Island‘s craft breweries, award-winning wines, and local food and produce.
