Firefighters Battle St. James House Fire During Snowstorm
The blaze was quickly knocked down during the snow and frigid temperatures to prevent additional damage to the house.

ST. JAMES, NY - Firefighters battles house fire during the snowstorm early Thursday, according to the St. James Fire Department.
The department received a call for a house fire on North Country Road at about 3:09 a.m.
Responding firefighters forced entry through the side door as the residents were not home.

The Nissequogue and Nesconset Volunteer Fire Departments also responded.
The blaze was knocked down almost immediately and prevented additional damage to the home.

There were no reported injuries.
The Smithtown Fire Marshal’s office is conducting an investigation at this time.
