Firefighters Extinguish Kitchen Fire at Nesconset Wendy's

The Nesconset Fire department was activated for a reported commercial structure fire at the Wendy's restaurant on Middle Country Road Friday morning.

Upon arrival, commanding units found an active fire in the kitchen area of the building. Assistance was requested from Ronkonkoma, St. James, Hauppauge, Centereach, Smithtown, Kings Park and Nissequoguefire departments as a precaution. The fire was quickly controlled by first arriving units without further incident. No injuries were reported.
