Four Men Break Into Occupied Smithtown Home, Resident Injured

The burglars stole cellphones and a purse from the home, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — A Smithtown resident was hurt after four men broke into an occupied home Friday afternoon, police said.

The men entered the home on Meadow Road at about 4:45 p.m. There were two people in the home at the time, police said. One suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown for treatment.

The burglars stole cellphones and a purse. No arrests have been made. No further information was available.
