GoFundMe Raises Over $100K For Ashley Massaro's Daughter

A group called the Squared Circle Sisters started the page following Massaro's tragic death to help her 18-year-old daughter.

SMITHTOWN, NY - A group recently raised over $100,000 for the daughter of a former WWE star who died committed suicide last month.

On May 16, Ashley Massaro was found dead at her Smithtown home at age 39, leaving behind an 18-year-old daughter, Alexa.

To honor Massaro, a group called the Squared Circle Sisters started a campaign last month on GoFundMe called the Ashley Massaro's Daughter's Educational Fund. The page was looking to raise a total of $100,000 to help Alexa.

"We, the Squared Circle Sisters who had the amazing honor of working with Ashley Massaro in the WWE, have come together to honor Ashley’s memory - and to create light and hope in the wake of tragedy," the page reads. "We all knew and loved Ashley and her beautiful spirit. Her smile radiated the entire locker room and arenas everywhere. We also got to know Ashley’s incredible daughter Alexa."

The group also wrote that they started the page in order to show Alexa that "she is not alone."

All the money from the fundraiser will go into an official New York State 529 college savings plan to help Alexa pay for her continuing education.

As of Friday, the page has just exceeded its goal, raising a total of $100,135.

In addition, the Squared Circle Sister created a video tribute which they included on the page.
