High School East's Devin Cornacchio Wins Scholar Artist Award
Cornacchio is recognized for excellence on stage and in the classroom.

Smithtown High School East senior Devin Cornacchio has been named one of only 20 recipients of the 2014 Long Island Arts Alliance Scholar Artist Award of Merit.
Cornacchio is recognized for excellence on stage and in the classroom, as an All-State cellist and as an exceptional student with a 90-plus academic average. As a result of this honor, Cornacchio will appear in Newsday, has been invited to a year-end reception at LIU Post’s Tilles Center and has already had the opportunity to meet with representatives from arts programs and local colleges.
He hopes to attend a college that will allow him to double-major in math and music.
