Holocaust Survivor Achieves Lifelong Dream Of Receiving Diploma

The 87-year-old was given an honorary diploma during Smithtown High School West's commencement ceremony on Thursday.

SMITHTOWN, NY - For the past 10 years, Holocaust survivor Mordechai Miller has shared his story of survival with students in Christina Cone’s Holocaust and Genocide class at Smithtown High School West.

Deprived of an education in Poland during World War II, Miller also expresses to the students how they should be appreciative of their education.

To honor Miller’s message of doing right by others, Smithtown West helped make his lifelong dream of being a high school graduate finally come true.
