
ST. JAMES, NY - One person was hospitalized after a St. James house fire last week, according to the St. James Fire Department.
The garage fire was reported at a Seventh Avenue home on Aug. 2 at about 6:21 a.m.
St. James firefighters responded with mutual aid from the Nesconset, Smithtown, Nissequogue, Stony Brook, Setauket, and Centereach Fire Departments.

The fire was under control by 7:05 a.m.
The homeowner was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries.
