Homeowners' Property Graffitied In Town Of Smithtown: Police

"MK" and "FTP" were spray-painted onto cars, fences, mailboxes and more, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the person/people responsible for spray painting graffiti on homeowners' properties in Smithtown and Nesconset, police said.

Someone or a group spray painted vehicles, fences, mailboxes and other assorted property with blue and green spray paint in the vicinity of Howell Drive in Smithtown, and in the area of Southern Boulevard in Nesconset, on July 9, police said. Graffiti displayed "MK" and "FTP." The spray-painter(s) are wanted for criminal mischief.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
