Ink's Dry at Former Tattoo Shop [Empty in Smithtown]

There's been a ton of talk about the new tattoo shops opening up in town: and  on Main Street. But farther down the street lies a vacant tattoo shop where the buzz has long stopped.

All that's left of the former Thunder Rose Tattooing shop is a mural on the wall of several tattoo designs someone could have picked up at the shop years ago. You can see them through the front windows.

The shop sits in a corner of town that's become overrun with empty spots, from the , , the , the Arthur House, several office buildings and several other locations Smithtown Patch still has to profile as part of its Empty in Smithtown series.

But info on the former Thunder Rose is little. It's not listed for lease or sale on major property lists and no signs hang on the shop suggesting it's looking for a new tenant. It's just empty.

The shop's website is still active, showing pictures of better days when the shop was up and running.
