LI Man Man Made 'Sexual Propositions' To 11-Year-Old Girl: Police
The girl was walking home from middle school when the man ran up to her from behind, police say.
LAKE GROVE, NY — A Lake Grove man was arrested Tuesday after he made sexual remarks to a schoolgirl in Selden, Suffolk police said.
A girl, 11, was approached by Zachary Chase, 28, of Lake Grove, as she was walking home from Selden Middle School at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Chase ran up from behind the girl and made sexual propositions to her before she ran home, police said. Chase drove away, hitting a pole, police said.
Chase was arrested at his home around 8:40 p.m., police said. He was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

He was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
