Lake Grove Man Robbed Gas Station At Gunpoint: Police

The 42-year-old was arrested a few hours later, police say.

STONY BROOK, NY – A 42-year-old Lake Grove man was arrested for robbing a Stony Brook gas station at gunpoint over the weekend, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, Michael Parise entered the Speedway station located at 2451 Nesconset Highway at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday, displayed a gun and made a verbal demand for cash.

The employee complied and Parise fled, police said.

Parise, who lives on Stony Brook Road less than a half mile from the gas station, was arrested a short time later and charged with first degree robbery, police said.

Parise was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday. He is being held on $100,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond. He's due back in court on Nov. 24.
