Lobster Heist: Woman Wanted After Seafood Theft From Lake Grove Wegmans

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for tips, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY — Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a woman accused of stealing hundreds of dollars' worth of seafood from a Lake Grove grocery store, police said.

According to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers, the woman allegedly stole approximately $500 worth of crab legs and lobster tails from Wegmans, located at 3270 Middle Country Road.

The theft occurred on March 19 around 2:55 p.m., police said.

Police have not released a description of the suspect but are urging anyone with information to come forward.
