Man Attacked Delivery Driver In Smithtown After Road Rage: Police

The man struck the delivery driver in the head multiple times and displayed what appeared to be a knife, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, struck another man following a road rage incident in Smithtown in June.

A delivery driver was stopped on Fourth Avenue in Smithtown on June 26 when he was approached at 4:40 p.m. by a man he was previously involved in a road rage argument with, police said. The man struck the delivery driver in the head multiple times and displayed what appeared to be a knife before getting back in his vehicle and driving away, police said.

The man was possibly driving a blue Subaru, police said. The delivery driver declined medical attention, police said. The man who attacked him is wanted for menacing, police said.
