Man Charged W/ Public Lewdness In Suffolk: Police

The man was reported to police after he committed a lewd act in a parking lot, police say.

SMITHTOWN, NY — A Bay Shore man accused of committing a lewd act in a Smithtown parking lot was arrested on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

A woman called 911 around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday to report Raymond Soganics, 30, of Bay Shore, was committing a lewd act in the parking lot at 180 East Main St., police said.

Soganics was arrested following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, police said. He was charged with public lewdness and is due to be arraigned at a later date.
