Man Commits Lewd Act In Front Of Teenage Girl In Smithtown: Police

The man is accused of looking at the girl, who was with her parents at a store, and committing a lewd act, police say. He was arrested.

SMITHTOWN, NY — A Middle Island man accused of committing a lewd act in front of a teenage girl at a Smithtown store in July was arrested on Monday, Suffolk police said.

A teenager was with her parents in a store on Main Street when Reynaldo Flores, 56, committed a lewd act while looking at the girl around 1 p.m. July 24, police said. Flores fled when the girl told her parents, police said.

Flores was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said. He was charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. He is set to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Monday.
