The man is wanted for criminal mischief as a hate crime, police say.

NESCONSET, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said damaged a religious statue in Nesconset last month.
A man damaged a Virgin Mary statue outside a Tiffany Way home around 8 p.m. Aug. 7, police said. He is wanted for criminal mischief as a hate crime.
