Man Paints Graffiti On Smithtown Bus Stop Shelter: Police
The arrest was made early Saturday morning, police say.
SMITHTOWN, NY — A man was arrested in Smithtown Saturday morning after police say he was drawing graffiti.
An officer who responded to a 911 call saw Anthony Garcia, 30, of Patchogue, painting graffiti on a bus stop shelter on Nesconset Highway near Terry Road, around 12:30 a.m., police said. Recent graffiti was also seen on a second bus stop shelter nearby, police said.
Garcia was charged with making graffiti and possession of graffiti instruments, both misdemeanors. He was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 15.
