Man Steals Headphones From Suffolk Apple 2 Days Straight: Police

He took trips to the mall on back-to-back days to steal $1,700 worth of Beats headphones from Apple, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police say stole merchandise from a Smith Haven Mall store in Lake Grove in February.

A man entered Apple Smith Haven and stole Beats headphones on noon Feb. 17 and again at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 18, police said. The headphones were valued at roughly $1,700.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, texting "SCPD" and your message to "CRIMES" (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
